Gackt + Ryoko

I put up 2 translations for my friends with regards to the Gackt-Ryoko rumour. Thought I might as well post it

It was speculated by the media that Yonekura Ryoko was on the brink of marriage to kabuki actor Ichikawa Ebizo. Hence, it came as a shock that the 2 have broken up. This news was first published in a tabloid and the parties' representatives have confirmed the news. According to the tabloid that had first published the news, the couple broke up in spring and this has also been confirmed by the representatives. The Ryoko's representative maintained that the rumours that both were on the brink of marriage were just hearsay and held no weight. In fact, Ryoko had and has no intention of getting married.

The couple met whilst filming a NHK serial and fell in love. In happier times, they went on overseas vacations together and was seen walking hand-in-hand. They were a loving couple. When she was sighted visiting his parents, it birth the speculations of their impending marriage.

The tabloid that first published the news attributed the breakup to different ideals. Ebizo is a famous kabuki actor from a respectable group. Hence, after marriage, Ryoko would have to give up her present career and she was obviously unwilling as she has just managed to squeeze herself into Japan's A-list actress and her career is just on the rise. In fact, she had previously in another interview mentioned that her focus was on her career and not marriage then. This has been confirmed by her representatives. Nevertheless, the 2 are still friends despite the breakup. This can be seen with Ebizo turning up at the funeral of Ryoko's father.

Now, Ryoko seems to have grown closer to visual singer Gackt. It is speculated that the 2 are dating. In response to this news, Gackt has replied that Ryoko is a special friend to him and his feelings for her has never exceeded beyond the borders of friendship. Ryoko's representative has also denied that they are dating and maintains that the 2 are friends.

And if be any comfort to all the various fangirls there are out there, both Gackt and Ryoko's representative have expressly denied it. If you ask me, I think the rumour that Gackt is/was with Kyoko Fukada is more realistic if you have watched this
