We've all heard the talk/observation that Gackt's Mizerable outfit was based off the popular video game bishounen Alucard from the Castlevania series, most especially the PS1 game Symphony of the Night (which is one of my favorites). Well, if the visual comparison isn't enough, I happened to be looking for the lyrics to my favorite Malice Mizer song, Gekka no Yasoukyoku (which was off Mervilles, so Gackt-era), and I find that the original Japanese title of Symphony of the Night was Gekka no Yasoukyoku! The song title and the game title even have the same kanji! Here's the proof. Furthermore, the game was released in 1997 and the song in 1998. So it's pretty safe to say that he's a big fan. Plus the whole vampire connotation.
Sorry for posting here so much. Or if this is like, obvious already. >_>

I really need to check out the Castlevania series but first I need to get over the goofy name.
